10 resources -post titleIn this post I will share the best 5 resources for Graphic Designer that I use.

There is proverb that says Too much information kills information.  For some of the resources below, you could probably find 10 or more sites that do similar stuff. In some cases, I linked to previous articles if you want to have more details. Here is my top 5.

1. Google Fonts

10 Resources - Google Fonts 2

I started using Google Fonts after I wrote my favorite Font resources article. The fonts are not only available to integrate in web designs but you can download them to your desktop and use them in any design project. All Google web fonts are offered under the Open Font License, meaning you may use them even in commercial projects without having to worry about licensing issues.

Here is a  1 minute video on how to download the fonts:

2. The Graphic Design Podcast

10 Resources - Graphic Design Podcast

I like this podcast because it covers random topics. It’s not an interview podcast and the hosts have very good chemistry between them. Every episode of The Deeply Graphic DesignCast podcast covers a new graphic design-related topic, and a few relevant tangents along the way.

3. DesignersTalk Forum

10 Resources - DesignersTalk Forum

If it’s about community/forum discussion, this is my favorite site. It has a great and simple design also adapted to follow up in smartphones/tablets. The forum has plenty of interesting categories which you can filter very easy.

4. CanvaSchool

10 Resources - Canva School

When it comes to education for sure you can find a lot of resources in Youtube or paid sites, but Canvaschool offers a lot of posts with interesting ideas for Graphic Designers.

10 Resources - DBFreebies

DB Freebies is a website that combines the freebies from Behance & Dribble (two designers communities). In DBfreebies you can find fonts, templates, background, mockups, etc.. perhaps it’s not specialized in one topic but it has a great variety of free stuff.
